P3M3 - Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model

In 2001, the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) developed its own Project Management Maturity Model (PMMM), which helps organisations address fundamental aspects of managing projects, improve the likelihood of quality results and reduce the likelihood of risks impacting projects adversely. In April 2006 PMMM was succeeded by a Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3). An updated version was released in 2008.

P3M3 is an enhanced version of PMMM, which it officially replaces, but will nest within it, and focuses on the addition of portfolio and Programme Management to the Model, describing the key process perspectives that contribute to achieving a successful project, programme or portfolio outcome.

And we are currently lead the field in delivering formal assessment using this model. We are also the only ACO that has used the PRINCE2 Maturity Model, the Project Management Maturity Model and P3M3.
